How have you come to appreciate and love your body?

I accept it for what it is, and no longer wish for it to be something other than what it is... I LOVE that as long as I take care of me on all levels ~ body mind spirit (sleep, good nutrition, water, exercise, yoga, good company, friendship, spirituality, quiet time, meditation) then my body is really quite capable of doing anything I ask of it! What a great feeling to be able to run, jump, dance, surf, give birth, help people through yoga and pilates....I get to share all of this through my body.

What is your soul’s purpose?

I feel like it is multi-faceted...I am here to be the best mommy I can be, I am here to be a sister, a friend, a daughter, a lover of life, to share the importance of nature, health, art and music, and really helping others to find health and balance in their body and mind. I feel I am a guide to help people on their own paths and journey of self discovery... I am able to point out the views, possible ways to overcome obstacles, to remind folks of their own inner strength and that we all ultimately are our OWN teachers and our OWN healers. I am able to simply shed light on that...

What is your personal work?

Yoga Mittra Teacher Trainings for those wishing to deepen their practice and experience of yoga. Its not just about becoming a teacher, its about living yoga. We have annual teacher training immersions, prenatal yoga teacher training, retreats and workshops and more. Suzy Nece and I are now adding an online component so that we are accessible to every body any where globally: Get Woke Yoga will be our online resource of classic Yoga practice classes, yoga quickies, Zero F*cks Yoga, meditations, Yoga for people who can't do yoga, etc....
